Building An All Glass Display Case For A Ship Model

The easiest way to build a display case is in fact to build a small all glass aquarium and cover its edges with some type of moulding like wood or brass. In my case i chose wood but its equally as easy to cover the edge in brass or aluminum strips. There are a number of videos on YouTube on how to build an all glass aquarium and i suggest you look at these and choose one of the methods that you feel comfortable building.

To keep the weight down I used 1/8″ glass. All the wood strips were made on my table saw using the Proxxon surface planer to get flat stock and the shaper to put in the rounded edges on the uprights.
