Together We Share – Woodturning Demonstration

Woodturning Demonstration was one of many programs held in 2016 World Wood Day Event. Wood turners from France, US, Israel, Morocco, and Nepal altogether presented their woodturning skills during the WWD event period. Along with the skill exchange between the fellow turners, the fine technique, aesthetics of the woodturning pieces, and the enthusiasm of the creativity were brought by turners to share with the audience. From the modern woodturning lathe to the traditional foot turning demonstrated by the Moroccan turner, the audience was fascinated by woodturnings, especially the manual un-plugged “human power lathe” brought by the program coordinator, Andy Chen, it was the most eye-catching and popular machinery of all. On top of enjoying the demonstration of woodturning, interaction with the turners and helping them completing their works were another privilege to the audience to experience the fun of woodturning.
